Cooling Tower

Two Marley cooling towers and a York centrifugal chiller was used to cool a 100,000 square foot office building. Chemical costs were $4,500 annually to maintain the system and keep it free of scale and algae. The facility manager cleaned the chiller and tower annually using two men for a two day period.

The Electronic Descaling 2000 units were installed on the 6" water inlet, the 6" water outlet and the 2" makeup line near the chiller.

• The facility manager eliminated the annual expense of the scale inhibiting chemicals.
• The system continues to operate without any degradation of thermal performance.
• The annual cleaning of the condenser tubes and the tower has been reduced to a light washing.
